SUMMARY:Tantra and Shamanism in Crete
DESCRIPTION:Azogires\, near Paleochora\, Crete\nFacilitated by Hilly Spenceley and Pauline McCluskey\n\n\nTuition week 16th-23rd May 2018\nWith option to extend your holiday period over a full two weeks 12-26th May 2018\nThis workshop is open to singles and couples\, and is suitable for experienced tantrikas\, and those who are new to its expansive possibilities. \n\nWe invite you to join us for a week of tantra\, relaxation\, fun and sun in south west Crete.  We will be staying at a good-priced retreat centre in Azogires\, a small unspoilt village in the mountains overlooking the coastal town of Paleochora.  The centre has a group space\, ensuite twin rooms with balconies\, shared kitchen and outside dining area with stunning views. Paleochora\, with its lovely shops\, restaurants and beautiful beaches (including nudist) is about ten minutes by car.\nShakti Tantra has a long connection with Crete\, going back to the 1990’s\, when Hilly first ran workshops there. The energy and mystery of the land fits well with the Shakti Tantra philosophy of being with the power and magic of tantra in each moment\, and of drawing inspiration from our connection to the environment.\nThe retreat centre in Azogires is available to Shakti Tantra participants for a full two weeks\, for relaxation and exploration\, from 12th – 26th May 2018\, to give participants the opportunity to extend their stay and enjoy some further holiday time based in Azogires and the surrounding area\, before and after the tantra facilitated period. This extension is entirely at the discretion of participants\, for whatever days suit each individual.\n\nFor the week 16th – 23th May we offer a tantra retreat\, during this period we will have some facilitated time each day in the group space\, for tantra teachings and guided practice. This will include tantric structures\, meditations or chanting\, offered in the mornings or evenings\, with free time in the afternoon for you to independently enjoy your own holiday pursuits. \nThe tantra week will also include: \n\n\nA night time ritual into the local Cave of the 99 Holy Fathers where we will walk deep into the mountain by candle light\, to speak directly with the Universal Great Mother.\nA full day experience to the historic Lissos site\, including a powerful ritual at the ancient Temple of the Snake Goddess.\n\nCosts\nWe will arrange accommodation for each participant once you have made your booking. You will need to organise your own flight\, car hire and insurance\, and pay for accommodation on arrival. \n\n Tuition – £475 for six days\, to be paid in advance. EARLY BIRD SPECIAL £425 IF PAID BY 28th FEBRUARY 2018.\nAccommodation – 25 Euros per twin room per night (depending on the group size\, we cannot guarantee any single rooms)\, to be paid direct to the retreat centre at the beginning of the holiday.\nFlight – flights to Chania airport are available from various locations in the UK. A car journey of around 80 mins takes you to Azogires\nCar hire – this can be arranged via a variety of car hire companies located at Chania airport. In previous years participants have shared cars. We’ll connect you with each other to make this easier.\nFood – we can sort out food together for breakfasts\, there is a rustic taverna in Azogires and many lovely places to eat in Paleochora.\nHoliday insurance – please make sure you’ve arranged your own holiday insurance.\n\nWe aim to have a gender balance for this retreat.\nPlease get in touch for more information or to reserve a place. \nLove\nHilly and Pauline \nFeedback from Tantra in Crete:\n“I thought the accommodation was perfect for what we wanted to do..enough privacy and close enough to the beach.
