SUMMARY:Body Wisdom - women's health & wellbeing day
DESCRIPTION:This day is for any woman who wishes to learn more about her own body and how to support its natural wisdom.  We welcome women at all stages of life to join us\, it is never too early or too late to learn and to practice. \nTogether\, we will create a safe and nurturing women’s circle where you can learn from teachers with a great depth of experience.  We also all learn from the richness of one another’s life experiences. \nThe day will include:\n\nThe anatomy and sex education you didn’t learn at school\nPractices from both ancient Tantric and Daoist teachings alongside the best of modern physiotherapy to support;\n\nyou developing a positive relationship where you can both feel and listen to the wisdom of your body\nyour lifelong health and well being\nincreased sexual and erotic pleasure.\n\n\n\nUnravelling the mysteries of our pelvic floor\nThe pelvic floor muscles are the base of the bowl formed by the pelvic girdle.  As such they are integral in holding energy within the pelvis.  Too weak and the energy drains away… too tense and there can be pain and restriction.  They need both to be strong\, and able to relax completely\, to create a healthy balance.  As part of this workshop we will guide you\, with breath\, and education\, to identify and improve your awareness of these muscles.  This has so many benefits\, both for controlling bladder and bowels\, and for improved sexual energy\, the fire that can light up your entire being. \nYour teachers for the day\nClare Downie \nClare has over 20 years experience working as a pelvic health physiotherapist for the NHS.  She is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of POGP (Pelvic\, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy) Over the years she has supported women of all ages to learn more about their pelvic and sexual health\, so that they can be empowered to improve any troubling symptoms\, and feel more confident and comfortable in their bodies. \nPauline McCluskey \nPauline came to tantra from a career as a nurse\, teacher and facilitator\, familiar and comfortable with supporting people during major life changes and challenges. Alongside teaching with Shakti Tantra she is also a sexological bodyworker and psychosexual somatics practitioner. Pauline’s experience and wisdom means she creates an incredibly safe space within workshops. She has a strong intuitive sense of how to support participants in exploring their sexuality from a place of confidence and joy. \nTom Blaker

DESCRIPTION:And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. \nAnais Nin \nThis evening is an introduction\, supporting you to access your deepest feminine wisdom and creativity. \nTo bring together your heart\, sex and spirit. \nTo gain an ability to listen to your inner knowing. \nTo create rich connection within women’s circle. \nTo receive new perspectives on how you choose to live your life. \nWe will support you to create your own sacred space to explore intimacy\, kindness\, sexuality and communication. \n  \nShakti Tantra are transformational artists using the medium of tantra to raise our consciousness and as a catalyst for great change and personal growth.  Our work draws from ancient and contemporary wisdom and practices. \nWe feel truly honoured and privileged to be able to offer this work and our intent is to support you to acquire tools\, ideas and understandings that will make a positive difference to your everyday lives\, especially at this time. \n  \nThis three hour intro evening\, will give you a taste and feel of the Shakti Tantra school.  We have recently completed the first run of our 8 week online ‘Women’s Mystery’ programme designed for these extraordinary times and plan to run it again during the Autumn of 2020. Thanks very much”\n“Fingertips touching\, hips rocking\, eyes touching my heart”\n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us for a weekend of personal transformation\, learning about the philosophy of Tantra\, and participating in some lovely practices and experiences to bring this learning into the body.  Beginning to understand the chains that bind us\, the restrictions that we and others have placed upon us.  Learning to walk from our hearts in joy\, freedom and love. \nThis workshop is an introduction to Tantra – either as a standalone event\, or as the entry point to joining our mixed programme.  A delightful weekend for men and women (singles and couples)\, skilfully and lovingly taught. \n\nPractical information\n\nThe ticket price for this event covers your tuition and support from our highly experienced team of teachers and assistants.\nPlease note you will also need to pay £230 for food and accommodation.
