Bring bliss into your connection
This private weekend is an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and into a slower, more intentional space, one that is dedicated entirely to your relationship.
Held in the quiet beauty of West Cornwall, this retreat offers you time to reconnect, reflect and rediscover one another in a setting designed for calm, privacy and ease. The Balleswidden Cabin provides a warm, secluded and thoughtfully held environment where you can truly switch off and be together without distraction.
Your Guides
The weekend is guided by Kate, who brings over 20 years of experience walking the Tantric path, alongside a background in theatre, transpersonal counselling and facilitation. She currently teaches on the Women’s Programme at Shakti Tantra, and her work is shaped by a deep commitment to helping people reconnect with themselves, their bodies and each other. She will be supported across the weekend by Tom, an assistant with Shakti Tantra who has completed the Presence Programme and helps hold a warm, grounded and well-supported space for guests.
The Tantric Approach
Inspired by contemporary relationship work and tantric principles, the retreat focuses on deepening connection through presence, communication and shared experience. Tantra offers a way of grounding spirituality in the body, and of recognising that intimacy, pleasure and connection are not luxuries, but essential parts of a full and meaningful life.
What the Weekend Offers
Across the weekend, you will be guided through a series of carefully held sessions and practices designed to support you to reconnect emotionally and physically in a natural, unforced way, communicate more openly and with greater understanding, explore patterns in your relationship with compassion and clarity, deepen trust, intimacy and presence, and rediscover ease, playfulness and enjoyment together.
There will also be time to enjoy nourishing food, rest deeply, and simply be with one another without the usual distractions of daily life. Breakfast will be provided on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, and dinner will be provided during the retreat. At lunchtime, you will have the freedom to go out and explore the local area together or self-cater privately in the cabin.
The Rhythm of Exploration
Each session is gently guided, with clear instruction and space to understand the practice. You will then be given private time as a couple to explore and experience what has been offered in your own way and at your own pace. After each practice, you may come back together with Kate to reflect, share insights if you wish, and receive guidance before moving into the next session. This rhythm of guidance, private exploration and shared reflection allows for a deeper and more personal experience.
The approach is spacious and responsive. Everything is invitational, allowing you to move within your own boundaries and in a way that feels right for you both.
The Weekend Journey
The weekend begins on Friday evening with time to arrive, settle into the cabin and unwind. A soft opening session will help you land, slow down and set intentions for your time together.
Saturday offers a full day of guided sessions, balanced with generous space to rest, walk in nature, enjoy delicious meals, or simply spend quiet time together. The rhythm of the day allows for both meaningful exploration and gentle integration.
Sunday is a slower morning to reflect, deepen and gather what you want to take forward, followed by a closing session before departure. You will leave in the early afternoon feeling more connected, grounded and aligned.
A Foundation of Safety and Consent
This weekend is rooted in respect, consent and emotional safety. Nothing is expected of you beyond a willingness to arrive as you are and engage honestly with yourselves and each other. All practices are invitations rather than obligations, and you are always free to pause, adapt or decline anything that does not feel right.
This is not a retreat about performance or pressure. It is about creating a safe and supportive environment where intimacy can unfold naturally, in ways that feel comfortable and genuine for you both. Clear guidance will be offered throughout, and Kate and Tom will be available to support the flow of the weekend and help maintain a warm, respectful and well-held space.
